So: are right wingers strict-constructionists, decentralizing as muchHonestly as one of your biggest fans when you first joined seeing this comment dissapointed me more than a bit. Typically your comments are above such simplistic generalizations. Or perhaps I just haven't been paying attention. I do hope it is not a trend. Oh, don't get me wrong. I'm not stumping for the democrats. This is my anger at politics at usual, which has always been there. What I see in this pattern is that the conservative leaders of the GOP (which is remarkably different from actual conservatives) don't actually believe in the ideology of conservativism. I believe that they simply use ideology as a way to justify their own behavoir. I have belifs first, and try to live by them. I believe that the Bush government has goals - things they want - and then just accepts whatever belief best justifies it. This is also the reason I see for McCain's fall. I really liked McCain, and in fact, I would probably vote for him over Hillary. But ... |
