A lot of people have posted comments and sent us emails about having a difficult time using your mouse inside the clipcast. Just wanted to post a clip letting you all know that you can use keyboard shortcuts to easily perform just about any function inside a clipcast.

No joke, after i got used to the keyboard shortcuts it made the clipcast experience 100x more enjoyable for me. I recommend trying them out.

FYI...there is a little icon at the top right of the clipcast that shows the shortcuts.

Is there a way to save a clip in the classic mode?

debbyski, click the Share button below any clip and you'll see that option.

I know that I'm a little slow. But I've finally been able to play around with the Clipcast. I like, what feels to me, like a greater accessibility to Clipmarks via the Clipcast. Actually it's not just a greater accessibility to Clipmarks as it is a greater ability to see what all the clippers are clipping. I tend to get lost in two places online... Clipmarks and Facebook. Now the two are combined for easier time wasting.

Is there a more productive way to "waste time" than on clipmarks. Personally, i don't think so. I learn something new and interesting with each minute i waste

No time wasted here. I can get more information here than spending hours "googling" everything that interests me. Plus I can share all that info with Clipcast. I can't remember how I found Clipmarks but I'm glad I did.

Now we're talking, Eric. I'm feeling little better.

BTW, these nice round icons on the right hand side looks very nice, how about adding My Clipper's Mix (MCM) there as well? I find MCM very handy and useful.

@arisali,
I knew you would!

I think we were all a little worried that our Classic View was going to be replaced. Since, it's not, we are all settling into our groove again.

Happy Clipping, everyone!

@ericg, I know I spend a lot of time here at the Clip, but have never considered any of it 'wasted'! I've named my ClipCast "Always Learning at the Clip!".

btw, I can't get to the Smilies and the BBCode (#10 & #11) on FAQ page. I need to know how to make a link to my ClipCast page.

@Eric,
OMG, I am so going to look like I need to read "clipmarks for dummies"
Here is how I use CM and thank God that I can! At the top of my firefox toolbar after help is the CM icon. If I click on the drop down box, I have 7 options. All clippers, my clippers, my page, popular now, video's, and surprise me. I always go to my page and sign in. I stay in that mode! (which I believe is classic, i think?) I usually just go to my clippers to view clips. Or Popular now. Or sometimes i backspace on my name and put in a clippers name and hit enter to view their particular clips. In this mode, there used to be a save the clip after you popped it. Now there is add to my clipcasts, email a...

I have a different dropdown menu under the CM icon:
My ClipCast, Popular ClipCast, My Clippers, Classic View, clipmarks.com, Facebook app, Help..no Surprise Me button anymore. How come debbyski has the old dropdown menu?

dorine, you have our new clip button. sounds like debbyski is still using the old one.

debbyski, adding a clip to one of your clipcasts is the same as saving it. it just lets you choose specifically where you want it saved to.

arifsali, if you click the "Guide" link at the top-right of the clipcast, you'll see the My Clippers Mix button. you can access that from any clipcast anywhere on the web.

Thanks egoldstein.
I don't know why i have the old button Dorine, but I don't want to lose it!

I still have the old button too. No complaints, but mine never changed. Huh...wonder why.

Thanks, the popping and browsing is very efficient in ClipCast, I like these keyboard shortcuts.

I will still wait some more before I start to play with my own ClipCast for blog or other sites, but mean while, just curious, the daily activity emails from Clipmarks have stopped for everyone and not just me, right? As suggested earlier, I think it would be helpful if we get daily emails of our own Clips, so we can forward them on via emails to friends/groups. Here I'm talking about a daily digest email containing all of my clips made in the day.

I miss the daily Clippers Digest (it helped me find clips I missed) and Activity Report (some of my activity ran past the allot space on my homepage).

Question, since we're using Flash, then why not use sliding and moving windows? For example, the ClipCast page has a small window, icons on the right and links on the bottom. When a user is focused on the ClipCast window then the icons and the links are useless for that particular moment. Wouldn't it be best if you could make this ClipCast window bigger by sliding it out for reading, and the comments section sliding out downwards, with a click on arrow or something. Basically, the right and the bottom section of the page is static and not in focus when someone is in ClipCast reading the contents in the box.

debbyski, adding a clip to one of your clipcasts is the same as saving it. it just lets you choose specifically where you want it saved to.
True, but not a complete answer. The new ClipMarks does aid a newbie in all the saves that there were in the old CM. At the point where you are above, there is another option. Press X and delete the whole thing and start again! And do this any number of times until you are happy with your final Clip. Even after it is passed that final save it can be deleted if before it's Popped or Commented upon!

Nearly as important as the content is the presentation if you are serious about being a good Clipper. A third is the choice of title. Re...
