wildcat says: Curiously, younger scientists were more likely to believe in God and attend religious services than older scientists. Things learned early are hard to forget. Like most people scientists become as cynical and disillusioned as they get world weary. I'm not sure it is as a result of a lack of faith in God, or a lack of faith in people. How a scientific explanation can be clear and repeatable, but it cannot explain people's self destructive attitudes. When compared against the brilliance of nature, some of the greatest achievements of the human race can seem pitiful. Many of the unsavory actions of people are a direct contradiction to the reason required to examine the truth objectively. why do we humans have to find contraries? why do we have to pit black vs white while we have so many shades of gray? why do we have to OPPOSE science to religion and viceversa? becuase one contradicts the other even though both have many contradictions within themselves. Science does not disovle religious backgrounds in fact I've met many a scientist that have made there faith stronger because of what they discovered in science (mostly muslims and gnostic buddists) but science can actually help with religious views without being taken out of context or distorted in anyway. Unlike nonintelligent design. What should be blamed for religiosity is ignorance. this clip title is stupid |
