egoldstein says: Was just giving it a try and figured for all the hype it's received it would be impressive. Certainly not forming any conclusions after one query, but based on what i've read about it, i figured asking who was the quarterback for the new york giants would prompt some kind of "are you kidding me, you can do better than that" type response. But to my surprise, it couldn't handle my question. Anyone have any insight into this? Based on user's who have experienced it, would love to know what your impression of Wolfram Alpha have been. To put it bluntly it sucks big h***y b***s. It needs a lot of work before it even becomes usable let alone useful. It originated as a conglomeration of scientific/statistical data from academic sources. I would not expect sport statistics to be in there. It is definitely an overhyped site. Although it does well what I expect it to do, it's really a specialty site for academic use. The problem is that it's being marketed as something for the general population. |
