We are overdue for earthquakes in several places. If one of the 6 supervolcanos go, I would not want to be one of the survivors.
The Mayan calendar beckons.

Last 5 years, to 13 Baktun, according to Mayan Calendar Long Count.

One overdue earthquake is here in Istanbul too. Anyday now. Experts' prediction is it will be at least M 7.0 - enough to destroy many parts of this city.

You guys do know that the Mayan calendar runs out of pages in 2012 not because the world is going to end but because they just "run out of space" at 2012... Kind of how we go all the way back to January 1 every year. They would have started at 0 again. (They had the number zero down pat way before other cultures.)

Did anybody say "the world gonna end" at the given date of Mayan Calendar above?

The Calendar does not run "out of page" at 2012. And it's not the same thing as beginning with "January 1" after "December 31". Mayans used a combination of different calendars for regular use, like yearly Haab or semi-religious Tzolkin. The 13 Baktun date of the Long Count is a completely different thing; it marks the last day of a 5125.36 year cycle, of which we don't have much clue yet. For Mayans, that was not "the end of the world" but the end of a "World Age" they called The Fifth Sun.
