POP I took antidepressants and they did nothing for me, but everyone else became friendlier, nicer, kinder, less threatening, lively.... Pictures of, or phone calls to, my grand children snaps me out. Maybe I SHOULD be taking antidepressants... I mean.. I've got depression.. but I've never tried them.. do they work..I mean, obviously, slowly, but...? I recently took myself off the SSRI Citalopram hydrobromide, which I'd been on for over 5 years. They helped me through a rough patch, but I feel as good today (3 months off) as I ever have. CoviwinklesNo1Fan, Go to a mental health professional and together figure out what you need. I was diagnosed over 10 years ago with major chronic depressive disorder ( a family heirloom). Everyone is different. It took me a number of tries before my doctor and I found the right combination of medications for me. I also go to therapy once a week. My own journey with depression, well, I could write for days. Just PLEASE talk to a doctor. As well meaning as clippers are, well, we're not professionals. |
