We're already there, the income gap currently is the greatest since the great depression. I kind of see all the symptoms - decline of the middle class (thanks to the sub-prime housing market), unprecedented stock gains etc. However I'm no economist, someone more knowledgeable might answer your question better. high debt to income ratios, American dollar losing value, real estate bubble bursting, high levels of corporate corruption, crooked credit card and predatory lenders shall I go on? When your flag-wavers stop waving .... and start fainting from hunger .....and dying like flies in foreign wars, where all the tax mony has gone, instead of going to social services....
