what's interesting is that these crazies are heading up a major political party. Supposed adults thinking we "we can't drill out way out of the problem, but we can inflate our way out of it".

Of course taking the oil out of the strategic reserve is a two-fer. They get to say they did something and they then have reduced our ability to respond to a real emergency cutoff in supplies when this might be needed to defend the country.
