Interesting points indeed... I'd need to verify the first and third. interesting points. I would debate ths one Fact: The Gospels are all very forthright about Jesus' familial relations, and they don't hide the existence of Mary Magdalene, either. If they had been married, there would have been no reason to hide the fact.Since there certianly would be reason to hide that fact. If that were true, then much of Catolicism would be incorrect. Also if people belive Jesus/God are one in the same, then why would God marry or have realtions with a human female. Would that not make her a Godess. Thus this would indicate that Jesus was not God. Thus ruin the whole foundation of Christianity. I still think Jesus was just a man with... Fiction: Jesus son of Mary preached, was crucified and ressurrected. Fact: There was not such guy but in the myth created by one Paul. Fiction: Jesus and Mary Magdalene were married. Other than the church was run by men and they just didnt want her influence to be known, as it was believed that she did get private teachings. It is also stated in the gospels that Christ kissed her, although it may or may not have been sexual Fiction: The Priory of Sion is an ancient group charged with protecting the secret of the real Holy Grail, and Leonardo da Vinci was a Grand Master of the Priory of Sion. This is true.. he copied the names from a magazine and then added his own name at the end.... London -- was Moses and Noah not also mythical characters? I personally believe they were part of a story. Whatever is our creator is too powerful to part onto man any powers. Why would a all-knowing, all-powerful being/entity need to utilize man as his messenger when IT could talk directly to everyone. Man has always used stories and characters to captivate and pass on knowledge. Also to invoke fear - for those that have fear are controlled by others. There is really no need to disclose the DaVinci code as fact or fiction, since the author clearly states it is fiction.... Its everyone else who is trying to make it true, be it the publisher or hollywood... it is what it is, a coool mystery that could or will never be solved, as the first part (the bible itself) never has been either.. Thanks Wehrley for the concise points you brought up. Other than proving all the errors in this "fictional" book... Had D.Brown published something like this about the Muslim religion we would have nothing less than a Third World War on hand. If we talk about or write about religions we should always be as charitable (truthful) as possible. n 1990, while Salman Rushdie still was in hiding because of The Satanic Verses, he published a new book, Haroun and the Sea. The Iranian fatwa, which allegedly authorized Muslims to kill the author of The Satanic Verses on sight, still was in effect. If we talk about or write about religions we should always be as charitable (truthful) as possible.ack. The book was crap, the movie will be wack too if you ask me. I dont like the Dan Brown books which I had to read because everybody told me I had to... All booooooooring! How could you write a book where the reader can foresee the end after reading the first 10 pags? I dont understand the hype at all... Fiction: Jesus and Mary Magdalene were married. Fact: The Gospels are all veryI agree with rmowery that there are powerful reasons why a marriage between Jesus and Magdalene would be secreted but not with the ones he presents. God sent his only begotten son to dwell among us as a human. The intention was that he would live as one and experience "in the flesh" their passions, pains, sorrows, joys etc. It does not seem incredulous that Jesus would also hav... rmowery, I agree totally, they are all allegorical. I agree with the mystical teachings of Neville (see nevillegoddard.com) |
