Aribeth says: Beautiful!Thank you, alan! What a great clip, exactly how i feel sometimes thinking about love Thanx,Bluephoenix.Well,I know very well the gets-inside-you-and-rips-you-apart pain. Sigh . . . Is love painful? It certainly can be IMO. http://clipmarks.com/clipmark/41E5ADDE-67F7-4EAC-A491-566F07A4573D/ But I think love makes the ugly beautiful; it's sometimes just waiting to be uncovered, isn't it? 'I can't make you love me....' - that's a tough song to hear...I totally agree....it made my hairs stand on end the first time.... Alan,I'm so happy you are back.I missed you OH NO! I just crawled out of bed and there is snow!!!! Guess who is in charge of snow removal. OMG . . . It is the 2nd Alanocu. You live in Boston?? OMG, that says it all. It's been a fairly mild winter here and I do have a snowblower, but it's was a light snow as opposed to a heavy wet snow and I'm a weirdo in the sense that I LOVE shoveling snow. I look at it as a variance to jogging or doing aerobics. And of course gaining upper body strength which women tend to have concentrated in the legs. Example: I have trouble lifting the 50 pound bags of salt to my waist where a man's strength is located more in his arms. Women have a hard time lifting weight above their chest for the same reason. But we rock on lower body strength! Look at most of the guys in the gym and you will see their w... I don't believe in love... it's never worth the pain that you feel... That's queensryche I think, isn't it? Yes,it is I awoke on impact Under surveillance from the camera eye Searching high and low The criminal mind found at the scene of the crime Handcuffed and blind, I didnt do it She said she loved me I guess I never knew But do we ever, ever really know? She said shed meet me on the other side But I knew right then, Id never find her I dont believe in love I never have, I never will I dont believe in love Its never worth the pain that you feel No more nightmares, Ive seen them all From the day I was born, theyve haunted my every move Every open hands there to push and shove No time for love it doesnt matter She made a difference I guess she had a way Of making every night seem bright as... Gaiman's a genius. Wow!I am having all kinds of trouble following this conversation.lol I'm wondering if the song you referred to was- "Turn down the lights Turn down the bed Turn down these voices Inside my head Lay down with me tell me no lies Just hold me close Don't patronize" Anyway, that song has a really special meaning for me personally. If it takes two to be in love, then, unfortunately,I have never been there. Around 20 degrees here in Indiana and a half inch of snow since yesterday. Now "criminal mind" reminds me of a song by Goen (I think that's how you spell it) "Ask one who knows me Am I really so bad? I am." Love that song too. Ok shut up now swampy. You are rambling. later. It's definitely Queensryche, one of my favourite bands! "Why do you sit out here all alone? Said Alice, not wishing to begin an argument. "Why? Because there's nobody out here with me!" Cried Humpty Dumpty. "Did you think I didn't know the answer to that question? Ask another!" Most love is unrequited if not impossible to find.. This reminds me of the movie "Frankie and Johnny" with Al Pacino and Michelle Pfeiffer. They are falling in love, but afraid of the risk of pain. It's always stuck with me. We are freezing here in the south.....going to 13 tonight! OMG dorine! I heard it was supposed to get cold here too, lows around 12 degrees. Thanks alanocu. For some reason I can never remember her name. As always, the inspiring spirit of Todd Rundgren comes to mind. From the "Oops! Wrong Planet" vinyl, a single verse pretty much says it all... Love In Action Yeah, you could be the last trace of the master race The Nazis really send you to another place Still you can't stop it You can’t stop it No you can’t stop it You can’t stop it I said you can’t stop it You can't stop, you can't stop, you can't stop, you can’t stop You can't stop love in action Love in action You can't stop love in action You can't stop love in action You can't stop love in action Maybe I'm on nobody's side And when he gives me reasons To justify each move They're getting harder to believe I know this can't continue I've still a lot to prove There must be more I could achieve But I don't have the nerve to leave Everybody's playing the game But nobody's rules are the same Nobody's on nobody's side Better learn to go it alone Recognize you're out on your own Nobody's on nobody's side The one I should not think of Keeps rolling through my mind And I don't want to let that go No lover's ever faithful No contract truly signed There's nothing certain left to know And how the cracks begin to show Never make a promise or plan Take a little love when you can Nobody's on nobody... Ha, Alanocu! I so do! OMG, how I LOVE coats! @TN: "A thought transfixed me: for the first time in my life I saw the truth as it is set into song by so many poets, proclaimed as the final wisdom by so many thinkers. The truth — that love is the ultimate and highest goal to which man can aspire. Then I grasped the meaning of the greatest secret that human poetry and human thought and belief have to impart: the salvation of man is through love and in love." http://clipmarks.com/clipmark/AFAD8A48-55EB-4670-8F77-5CFF23D7FFE7/ @alan, I have another question for you. How do you find something on Pandora? Ok, I thought maybe you'd found a search field for it. — Comment removed by moderator — — Comment removed by moderator — |
