Key of Moreno Valley, California, writes: </DIV> <BR /></EM> Marilyn: You published a letter from a woman who deposited $200,000 into a savings account at a bank and then had an investment counselor at that bank convince her to move the money into a "supposedly safe" stock account.  (May 31, 2009) The stock account then fell in value to $139,000. This is an example of why I dislike the government's allowing savings banks to get into the stock-brokering business.
