jatfla says: Sadly, there is a war going on in Washington. If the Democrats had been as determined to defeat the terrorists/insurgents in Iraq as they have the President's policies...perhaps our troops would be home already. If the Democrats had been as determined to defeat the terrorists/insurgents in Iraq as they have the President's policies...perhaps our troops would be home already.Good point!!! If this story is true, they need to lose their jobs, and they need to have the absolute **** kicked out of them. Not nessesarily in that order. That's because we have already "lost" the war. Far more important issues to deal with don'tcha know? If the Democrats had been as determined to defeat theI have thought the very same thing. This could have been over by now. Equalizer...a serious question. How can it be "already 'lost'" when our military is *still* there, there is going to be renewed funding, the Iraqi people are wanting a country free of "terrorism"/occupation, and more Iraqi territory is being handed over to their own police forces, etc...? What has been lost is the will to see the *campaign* in Iraq to a more stable conclusion, the window of opportunity for a united American front against Iran, and the elected representatives of our people standing, if not with, at least not in complete and totally unparalleled attack mode with the President...to whom they gave (by the Constitution) the authority to launch this campaign. Equalizer was being sarcastic. Thanks. Sometimes, given the conversations that I'm hearing in Washington and on the internet, it's hard for me to tell. |
