There is always the question, Is there a better way of solving some of the problems we have. They also don't mention the amount of money involved in the discovery of a cure for these things. Maybe these things will be researched by public funding and pharmaceutical R&D money, but the truth is that if a cure is found, it will generate vast profits for drug companies, while people who may have no choice but to buy the medication, will continue to pay.
