Where the Anthropocene as a concept breaks down, it seems to me, is in the implications it raises, particularly among certain crowds who seem to be saying with increasing frequency, "well, dude, we're in the Anthropocene, anything goes."

A worthwhile and important read

Very hard not to see that we have changed the planet and that there are a lot of problems. This period is one of the few periods of mass extinction, maybe surpassing the dinosaur extinction period.
I have finally stopped "fighting" all the conspiracy theorists who are saying it is just another cycle. What they don't understand is that human extinction is part of this cycle/period. So they can call it the Anthropocene Period or call it The End. Pity really.
