Can anyone explain this equation? not in 1,000 years could i explain that equation. Stay Tuned Ladies and Gentlemen, I'll explain it (later) this is just a hunch and i'm not sure if it works but a = b a - b = 0 so division/multiplication by zero happens? Allright I'm explaining it. First : 1=2 Let a=b Then a^2 = ab (Because a=b) Now since we've stated a^2 = ab it's also understandable that a^2-b^2 = ab-b^2 a^2-b^2 can be factored into (a+b)(a-b) which ultimately can be factored to b(a-b) so (a+b)(a-b) = b(a-b) Note that I've just proven a+b = b. Since a=b initially 2b = b now. If we hypothetically say that b=1, then 2=1. Understand ? I'll explain the others later. You have to visit the source to see the proper formatting of the equations. The clip shmushed everything together. Sohil, was it you who tried to do a math puzzle a long time ago? We should have more of these... linkinpark342 gets the prize for discovering the flaw with the first set! What about the other two? long time ago ? Nah probably not I'm new here (A month and half old). What Math puzzle ? I'm quite tired now (too much stuff going on). I'll get to the others soon. Wait how does a-b=0 mean multiplication and division by 0. Oh. The puzzle I was thinking about was the one with the two triangles and the missing square unit. I couldn't find it. Good clip, though. Well in this case, it's division by (a-b)=0 on the 4th line that invalidates everything that comes after. That's what I believe linkinpark342 was pointing out. There's some trickery in the other two sets of equations, too. |
