<SPAN>Web produced by:</SPAN> <A href="http://www.wcpo.com/content/aboutus/default.aspx">Ian Preuth</A></DIV><BR /><DIV>City and community leaders gathered to dedicate a historic landmark in Walnut Hills on Thursday.</DIV><BR /><DIV>Officials cut the ribbon to mark the end of an effort to restore the Walnut Hills Presbyterian Church Tower at the corner of Gilbert Avenue and William Howard Taft.</DIV><BR /><DIV>The Cincinnati Preservation Association spent $500,000 to restore the tower since the rest of the building was razed five years ago.</DIV><BR /><DIV>"I believe that keeping this important landmark helps define the character of this community," Mayor Mark Mallory said.</DIV><BR /><DIV>Harriet Beecher Stowe's father was pastor at the church that was built in 1885.</DIV><BR />The tower will now serve as the gateway to the Harriet Beecher Stowe Cultural Heritage District in Walnut Hills.
