I'm not really sure having a media viewed as partisan in one way or another is so bad. I don't mind having a Fox News and Rush Limbaugh, as long as there's an MSNBC and Al Franken. And I think there have always been heavily partisan newspapers in the past.

But if you're going to have partisan news sources, we also need unpartisan news sources. There are a lot of unpartisan newspapers. But not enough unpartisan TV news sources, except for PBS News Hour and BBC News.
