You realize that there’s something distinctly in common between the two groups, the left and the right; the worst part of each of them is the moralizing. On the left, you have people who want to dictate your behavior under the guise of tolerance (tolerance, being the exact opposite of the definition). Unless you disagree with them. Then the tolerance goes out the window. Which kind of negates the whole idea of tolerance. That’s the politically correct moralizing. Then when you become a conservative, the other kind of moralizing comes from religion. My mother is a good example of that. ...

But her moralizing comes form THE KINDNESS OF HER HEART, as do many other conservatives. But if you remove both of those from the equation, what you’re left with is libertarianism.

From the right, you’ve got free markets. From the left, you have (sometimes) more open minds, but not always To me, that’s the only sensible direction. As you grow older, you kind of end up there.

As far as liberals go - sites like clipmarks and many other social networks I frequent, push me more to the right every day. The liberals, not all of them, penalize hard work, demonize people of faith, undermine our troops, enforce political correctness, and propagate the idea that no matter how lazy or stupid you are, everyone is a winner? In a episode of 'Fringe' maybe.

Conservatives at least have their shit together. The religion thing doesn't bother me in the least. I'll defend a Christian to a nasty liberal any day.

The PC crowd can suck it. I could give a damn about being edgy. I don't even know what that's supposed to mean. But damn right I'm honest. Quite frankly, I don't give a rat's ass about what people think, especially liberals, especially those who think our troops ought to join the French military in training exercises in order to learn how to march backwards.
