Now, if he can get his sheeple to disavow torture, he might actually do some good. I think many Catholics would be against torture. They tend to track to the liberal side of the social issues except on abortion. The Catholic Church certainly has a consistent view on life from birth to grave: It is God's to give and to take. That means no abortions, no torture and no executions. Becoming a flip flop pope, this one. Depending on the issue. I suppose he is not the only politician to be like that. Well, better late than never. I suppose an apology/acknowledgement of the 600 yrs of torturing and burning thousands of innocent men, women and children at the stake plus the Catholic's church support of fascism during WWII is out of the question?? Those are very slow in coming, I'm afraid..... Sounds like he has never read a history book |
