Horrid headline. "vs" shouldn't come into it. Some will think we atheists care about their inability to relate as a couple, with their fantasy world corrupting.

"Versus" has a couple of meanings:

1. (Abbr. v. or vs.) Against: the plaintiff versus the defendant; Army versus Navy.
2. As the alternative to or in contrast with: “freedom of information versus invasion of privacy” (Ian Hamilton).

I simply used it as meaning "in contrast with" as an abbreviation to make the headline shorter and easier to read. Don't read too much into it.

While I don't agree with the reasoning of the spokespeople for the evangelicals, I do wonder about the methodology of this study. What constitutes a born-again? Was it enough for this study to just say you were or did the study drill deeper and ask about participation in church, etc?

Contrast these family values:

Adolph Hitler, Nazi atheist, murdered six million Jews because of their religion and possibly 3 million more people who were gypsies, minorities, handicapped, and gays.

Stalin, Communist atheist, massacred over 20 million people under his dictatorship.

Mao Tse Tung, Chinese atheist, murdered up to 23 million people under his atheism.

Phol Pot , Cambodian atheist, killed over 3 million people under his atheistic regime.

Do you see a pattern here? The atheists are telling the world that religion is wrong and that belief in God leads to wars of religion.

And yet in one century, atheists managed to kill more than 50 million human beings in the pursuit of a...

You've got Hitler's religion wrong though:

"Hitler seeking power, wrote in Mein Kampf. "... I am convinced that I am acting as the agent of our Creator. By fighting off the Jews. I am doing the Lord's work." Years later, when in power, he quoted those same words in a Reichstag speech in 1938.

Three years later he informed General Gerhart Engel: "I am now as before a Catholic and will always remain so." He never left the church, and the church never left him. Great literature was banned by his church, but his miserable Mien Kampf never appeared on the Index of Forbidden Books.

He was not excommunicated or even condemned by his church. Popes, in fact, contracted with Hitler and his fascis...

I've been told that Ministers tend to have a lot of of extra marital affairs because they counsel a lot of desperate and lonely women. This leads to a lot of divorces.

boniface, it would be just like someone of outright denial that would look at what Hitler said to attain power or to keep people on his side, similar to Bush and Obama in regard to religion, rather than look at actions, words written in privacy (journals), and the underlying current of the Nazi ideology, the destruction of the Christian Church in German, and the overtly pagan adherents of that ideology . That, I guess, would not help you too much considering your need to cling to such a well-known and obvious myth.

Actually, it is about massacring Christians.
