Go to the source to see the inside of the apple. Use a melon baller to scoop out the seeds and core from the bottom. Fill that cavity with chocolate (or something else) and plug with a bit of scooped out apple. Then, dip in caramel and topping.

      Basically, you take a melon baller and dig the middle out of the apple, setting aside the first, outside scoop. Then you fill the apple back up with the various stuffings and pop the apple bit that you set aside back in to plug the hole. Once you've dipped them in caramel, the plug is there to stay!
