How can these idiots talk about a longer war since that would commit the next President to go along with it. How can they ask for such a thing in view of the last elections and the current polls that show the people are sick of this War they were tricked into by lies. How do they think they should even propose such an idea -- that now the military is going to be a direct lobbyist to invasion -- when the cornerstone of our nation is a government that governs with "the consent of the people." READ OUR LIPS: We don't consent to wars we were mislead into by shitloads of lies and daily propaganda. This *war* was declared for multiple reasons. The WMD issue has been touted as the main one but it was one of several. Also, there are many who know there were weapons there and perhaps still are. (Saddam's, that is) Congress had the same intel that the Administration did and voted to proceed. Now, having committed lives and billions (not to mention trust and the *word* of the United States government) to a major shift in governmental styles and leadership, some are weary and tired of the struggle.
