One of the things I regret most about my high school life was not putting the energy into realizing how cool science actually is.

I approached it as "memorize facts, regurgitate for multiple choice exam". Now I'm hopelessly fascinated by it.

I loved learning science in school. I thought physics and maths were the best things since sliced bread. Not only do the students have to be interested in learning, but the teachers also have to be just as interested and enthused in teaching.

It seems Britain is having the same issues regarding teaching to tests as the US is having. I wonder if the UK has implemented something as asinine 'No Child Left Behind?'
