He was a failure as an oilman and as a President. More offshore drilling wil have no effect on the price of oil and most sane people know this. One could therefore speculate if this is driven more by George's twisted relationship with his father or just another example of his gut feeling thinking.

Sigh. You may be right. Either that or as I alluded to earlier perhaps this is the outcome of a bad taco dinner gut feeling. It's difficult trying to discern the ravings of an irrational mind.
