myspace - the new american dream for musicians?

It's definitely becoming that. Suddenly anyone can connect with a niche fan base, maybe not enough to be a worldwide rock star, but enough to make a living doing what you love.

It confuses me. I tried to find a spot on MySpace. I can't remember my password, can't remember my log-in, can't figure out how to download a picture for an avatar (ok, well, maybe now that I'm becoming soooo computer savvy I might be able to), but that brings us back to the fact that I can't find my way back there. I tried to create a space so I could become a friend of a friend of a friend...it hasn't worked out so far. I think that's the most confusing place on earth. Unless you count my office.

But man, what an awesome place for musicians to showcase! The couple of times I have visited, I've really enjoyed the music thing!
