Awwww to you too! Thank you.

An aside: Is anyone else having trouble adding people as clippers? If not, I think I may have to begin using Firefox because in IE [6] I'm clicking all over different places to add people to my Clippers and nothing is happening but errors in the status bar.

Some people are just born victims. Most liberals fit into this category. They exist in their little imaginary utopia, where everyone are brothers and sisters and crime/violence/mahem/terror are just bad dreams. So they shun war, warriors, defense. Unhappily for liberals, the fact is that we live in dangerous times and there are very bad people out there who would love to hurt you.

Those that popped this ridiculous piece are certain to vote for that hypnotic Hussein Obama, who will rapidly turn my beloved country socialist. There was another hypnotic speaker in history who was a great orator and created a groundswell of popular support for socialistic ferver. Hitler. You poor liberals will deserve what you will get.

I'm a little taken aback. Was this clipped from a "spoof" site. Is this meant intentionally and seriously. I cannot imagine. This is probably the most blatantly absurd and untrue silliness I've read, which is certainly confirmed by looking at the clippers that popped this clip. cuckoo.

Never mind this:

BUSH: Failure to act would harm our ability to monitor new terrorist
activities, and could re-open dangerous gaps in our intelligence.

NPR: Mr. McConnell, the Bush administration says that if the Protect
America Act isn't made permanent, it will tie your hands, intelligence
hands, especially when it comes to new threats. But isn't it true that
any surveillance underway does not expire, even if this law isn't
renewed by tomorrow?
MCCONNELL: Well, Renee it's a very complex issue. It's true that
some of the authorities would carry over to the period they were
established for one year. That would put us into the August, September
time-fr...

How ironic it is: "terrorists" bomb America; America announces it is not afraid; America spends billions in reactionary, ridiculous, overblown warfare, killing thousands of its own, takes away civil liberties, kills tens of thousands of foreign nationals, torpedoes its own international credibility, reduces itself to torturing its enemies, and has a President who fans the flames of fear every time he doesn't get what he wants from the Congress.
The terrorists are winning - not because Iraq is bloody, but because they've accomplished their real goal: spreading fear to America, until it acts out of fear rather than wisdom. And Bush has become their prophet.

I liked my article. Others liked it.

Even if no one had liked it, I have the courage enough to stand alone in my beliefs.

The people who like it, though...who have popped it and have offered comments...tells me a lot about them and enough that I want to get to know them. Tells me I am *not* alone in my beliefs and that's an appreciative feeling.

The trolls or hateful people are negligible; Common. It's easy to be hateful in this world. Those who aren't, stick out to me; Mean something to me. So thanks for showing your faces and that you are out there in ClipMarkLand.

@kenjt - thanks. Firefox is the bomb'd. Just too much a creature of habit. Using it with CM is the best way to go, though. It'll keep reminding me why to stick with FF.

@Masbury - The terrorists are winning - not because Iraq is bloody, but because
they've accomplished their real goal: spreading fear to America, until
it acts out of fear rather than wisdom. And Bush has become their

Well said Masbury. Sorry I did not notice before. This is precisely what the article was trying to relay. So much seemed like common sense but I had to get it out of my system I suppose.

Thanks @Invictus. Thanks for the pop too, Deepti.

To me, it seems like common sense. Brilliant really. How better to *terrorize* Americans? It seems Bush & Co. walked right into their hands!

Iraq and Al Queda did not "terrorize me" with 9/11. Of course it affected me. It affected others so much more deeply; Those who had loved ones they lost. The real *terror* started afterwards I maintain. And the American people, in their grief, understandably wanted revenge. They wanted justice. We're creatures like that. We felt unsafe and we wanted it back.

Bush & Co. exploited it. Now we have unlawful wire-tapping, people getting tortured. We have lists being circulated of people who may b...

It's ironic to say the least that the relatives of troops who are fighting the 'enemy' overseas, are being killed by the enemy at home - their own government The U.S. government led by the Cheney Administration is an enemy of the people. Fighting them, killing them, starving them, keeping them in poverty, with the aim of rendering them absolutely powerless. Why ?
For Power, and Money. Sadistic Greed, with no compassion, and no mercy..
