This is exactly why I don't like Barack.

"If you combine the economic analysis with these political realities, here’s what I think it says: If Mrs. Clinton gets the Democratic nomination, there is some chance — nobody knows how big — that we’ll get universal health care in the next administration. If Mr. Obama gets the nomination, it just won’t happen."

I wish he'd quit trying to get elected by just touting ideas that are popular but don't work.

I think I agree with masbury...
I don't think that Obama is just trying to get elected by touting ideas that are popular but don't work....although many politicians, including Hilary's husband have been accused of doing this as well when he ran for office. Perhaps this is a complaint that can be leveled across party lines?

I think it is also interesting to compare and contrast HIllary's health care plan she promoted when her husband was in office and what she is promoting now.

Obama's Health Care plan is broken, this is true. But right now Obama is embodying the nation's hope, the nation's dreams of a possible positive future. I think that this wind of history is just too powerful to stop because of a flawed health care plan.
