egoldstein says: Thanks computerjoe...very flaterring!!! See also London's clip: http://clipmarks.com/clipmark/CF7EE247-9EE7-43C7-9C0E-76387B269B36/ What is that saying about "imatation is the highest form of flattery" Being imitated means, being pioneer and leader. I see this as a new challenge for Clipmarks. OK guys, show them innovation always beats imitation! invictus, that is exactly what we plan on doing...thanks for the encouragement! Am I allowed to say that clipmarks is now like the USA and Google has become China? This is really good news! as long as it doesn't mean that i'm like Bush and i'm not Rove Russians have a history of stealing others ideas... But seriously - congratulations!!! Did google ever invent anything? I mean... They allways copy things or buy companies with good products. Eric: Google has to pay me 100 $ a day to clip there. Once you go Clipmarks you never go back! Clipmarks is my web religion. *g Well, you might want to count the search engine that everyone and their brother is using - that certainly wasn't bought. They put together a hardware/networking architecture that's pretty unique. Arrrm. If you look at the screenshots from Gnotice... http://www.flickr.com/photos/ericajoy/ That doenst look like a competitor to clipmarks to me. Maybe you are right Eric: Google has marketing power. Clipmarks has the better team, the better users, the better system - so what? Unsatisfied with Google Notice? No problem, test the original! Go to Clipmarks today and start clipping the web! Well, you might want to count the search engine that everyone and their brother is using - that certainly wasn't bought. They put together a hardware/networking architecture that's pretty unique.Yeah youre right. It was a little bit sarcastic. But I think there was hardly no invention when creating google search. It was just a change in philosophy (Altavista vs. Google) for which google get my high esteem. Same with Satelite, Analytics etc. Once you go Clipmarks you never go back! Clipmarks is my web religion.thanks fu funana said:My god. Google probably thinks its flawed, boring and unfunctional design is it's strength. Makes me wonder though: Hasn't google made you, the Clipmarks team, an offer yet? Clipmarks is more conversational than personal storage oriented. I need an online notepad capable of inserting web-pictures, web-text, links. Sorry that Clipmarks can't do it. Google can. Also, the UI of Clipmarks gives little space to clips (see clipclip.org for a UI oriented to full view of clips). Finally, Clipmarks clips can't be shared, only a URL pointing to them. Guys, it's time you update this thing. (already posted) Guys, it's time you update this thing.HUH? They are constantly updating clipmarks so you have left me confused. Not every app can be everything to everyone. I tried clipclip and it left me wanting. I didn't like the layout of it at all. I much prefer the interface here and I can easily put any clip full screen with a single click of the mouse. Of course Eric and his team are very nice. I am just telling my opinion about some features they already promised, like sending clips (not URLs) by email. And I`d like to see my clips on a continuous roll, already expanded, without clicking anything, ful screenl view, is that too much?, can't be a user interface option? Thanks for listening. London, certainly never meant to promise something we weren't prepared to deliver. 3 margaritas and 2 beers in me so far tonight, but here's where each of those issues stand: 1 - sending clips by email (not urls) will likely be done this month. it's not that we don't think it would be cool...it's just that we've got a pretty big upload coming in a week or so that's been taking up all our time. 2. seeing your clips on a continuous roll already expanded...we're on that too. we call it a "clog" (short for clip-log). ericw has been kicking some serious ass on that, but we put it on hold to get everything together for the upload i referred to. no doubt the clog will be live this summer.... damn, maybe i'll have a beer on that note.... Or wait, I meant to say a red bull.... Have to get that email clipmark done before london finds out where I live... LOL derek!!! I'm not asking for any features, I'm just curious to watch Eric's comments on this thread as we progress deeper into those beer reserves. How's that party, Eric? Party? You guys are having a party in NY with me right next door and no invite? *sniff* no party. just hanging with some friends. thank you Eric and team! Wow. Good job. The trick is to stay ahead of Google. That's not a trick, that's already in place. It's not a trick, it's a Clipmark! I haven't seen Gnote but I do like what Google has done for the WWW. I like what ClipMarks has done for me. If in the future I find Gnote useful It won't mean I value Clipmarks any less. The only thing that could hurt ClipMarks is if they sell out. Its the ClipMarks team that makes me want to use ClipMarks. They generate an atmosphere of real people. thanks skwril. it's just so bizarre that our droid has created an atmosphere of real people. go figure this is open market, anyone can start with zero and beat others. I always believe in the original. |
