The conservatives have a mentality where they need to identify themselves as victims, no matter how good they have it, and then demand that things be made "better" for them, at the same time as they scream "oppression" at anyone who has a differing opinion. It's part-and-parcel of the pathological selfishness that marks right-wingers (really, only a step above sociopaths)
