merrie says:
Allegre doesn't deny that the climate has changed or that extreme weather has become more common. He instead emphasizes the local character of these phenomena.

While the icecap of the North Pole is shrinking, the one covering Antarctica -- or 92 percent of the Earth's ice -- is not, he says. Nor have Scandinavian glaciers receded, he says. To play down these differences by basing forecasts on a global average makes no sense to Allegre.

Paris bookstores brim with guidebooks -- including one shaped like a toilet seat -- that tell readers how to help save our planet. Yet the dissidents refuse to shut up, even now that Al Gore has won the Nobel Peace Prize and the U.S. government has agreed to negotiate a new global-warming treaty by 2009.

Exposing the Global Warming Myth!

I don't care what anyone says or thinks about Global Warming or climate change=====it is still a good idea to reduce Co2 and all the other greenhouse gases, the pollution of our oceans, rivers and lakes, electronic waste disposal and about a thousand other pieces of garbage. Just because one guy doesn't give credit where credit is due shouldn't stop us from doing our part to make this a better, cleaner and happier world. Peace.

I have no problem with us spending money to reduce pollution. Thing is, CO2 isn't pollution. It is actually a vital part of our atmosphere, and we have no idea what the perfect concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere should be. But we do know there are many things which are nothing but pollution and we should be using our resources to clean up those real pollutants instead of sinking it into the bottomless pit of global warming alarmism.

CO2's presence in the atmosphere has always FOLLOWED warming, which is most probably caused by the son. Wasting money on the little bit of CO2 that we add in comparison to the large amount that nature produces by itself - is ridiculous.
