My Democratic senator voted the party line--no drilling. I wrote my senator and her answer talks only about renewable energy sources, no nuclear, etc. This is a state west of the Mississippi River that has large distances between even modestly sized cities and large rural areas. Farming is a large part of our economy. How does the senator think we can keep on paying over $4.40 for diesel for farm tractors and right at $4.00 for regular gas for cars--no public transportation in rural areas, too many people work too many different places in rural areas, so even ride sharing doesn't work, personally owned vehicles are the only way people in my rural area can get around.
