spirithiker says: A New Jersey church has evicted a homeless shelter because its operators didn't require down-and-outers to say grace before eating Christmas dinner. And hell yeah, that's what Christ would do. How dare they attempt to serve the hungry before serving the religion! Outrageous! Jeebus! Jesus matters little, compared to theology, in evangelicalism. Sounds like her ego just cost a lot of people a place to go. What? Your blaming for putting people first? Antara, I don't think it was necessarily her ego, I believe her conscience could no longer keep food away from the hungry just to satisfy some unwritten law that saws you have to pray over food before eating it. This 'reformed' church has placed their ego above the needs of the people they are in place to serve. What a mighty Christian attitude that church has. I've said it many times, and I will say it again, IF Heaven is full of Christians like the leaders from this church I'll pass. Hypocritical religions make my stomach churn. Jesus is so proud. |
