Yeah there ancient beliefs stem from the early 1920's and if you dig deeper you will find that little they practice is based on fact.
As for Stonehenge it still has not been established, the true purpose for the site. The latest theory is that it was used to calculate meteor storms !!! BIG SIGH.
I have nothing against Wicca, yet some people see it as an excuse to dress up like something out of the Munster's or some bad fifth rate occult movie from Hollywood.
It is a fashion statement for most. It is trendy to be wiccan at this time.
Real followers of wiccan are quite reserved and hidden.

Druidism isn't Wicca. They are two entirely separate faiths. Druidism has references WAY older than Wicca, which is only around 70 years old.

The Druid order that holds ceremonies at Stonehenge is a new organization, a reconstructed group based on older Druid beliefs (of which precious little is actually known, since the Druids themselves did not keep records. We only know from written accounts.)

I suggest you read Peter Beresford Ellis, The Druids.
Or Celtic Rituals By Alexei Kondratiev.
As for the Druids keeping records, they did not write their knowledge down but in Irish and Welsh Folklore it is preserved.
The so called Druids of today, hijacked this name and twisted it beyond recognition. The modern movement was brought about by English Upper class snots who wanted a new type of club. They all talk shit.

A true Druid was a learned man who promoted education and learning and studied the world around them
As for your contention that Wicca is only 70 years old, pleas do some research. I assure that wicca is far older.

I've done 25 years worth of research, including scholar's works which show that Margaret Murray's theory of an underground witchcraft cult has been discredited for at least 20 years now. Unfortunately, that was the latest thing available in Gardner's time, and has not yet been removed from older references.

I recommend "The Triumph of the Moon" by Ronald Hutton, professor of religion at Bristol University, for an in-depth, extensively documented look into the history and origins of Wicca, a 20th century faith. The mix of reported witchcraft practices woven in...

Sorry I did not reply sooner I was away.
I will check out "The Triumph of the Moon" by Ronald Hutton.

Although his book The Pagan religions of the Ancient British Isles makes more relevant reading.
Or try The Sacred Isle By Daithi O Hogain.

As for the investigations into the origins of Wicca, I concede the modern version is fabricated, by a british civil servant. Influenced by Aleister crowley and stealing many other aspects of eastern religions.
Yet you seemed to miss my point. (My Fault).

Many traditions and views pre-date either the Celtic faith or Christianity and its twisted version of pagan rites. Some are tied to the land and it's people.

I will give you an example. Before the di...
