Viiltaja says: A**hole!!!, a**hole!!!, a**hole!!! Just to compare - Iraq and Afganistan wars cost $190 000 000 000 for USA in 2008! THE PRESIDENT OF USA HAS TOO MUCH POWER! You may call that democracy but I think it's DEMONCRAZY! Republicans are firmly committed to having a slave class. One aim of this is to convince the slave class (the poor) that there is no hope of improving their lives. This is part of that abhorant process. All the Republicans want is that these people are desperate enough to accept the role of gun fodder in whatever region they decide to exploit. That's so true. I hate what's going on. Poor stay poor and rich stay rich and that's how this system of greed and betrayal goes on... people have different beliefs but money and power are the only true gods! Children are currently covered up to twice the rate of poverty. The democrats want to raise it to four times the rate of poverty, and are willing to let children currently covered to lose their coverage in order to score political points. Unfortunately, because of the misinformation being spread and the uninformed masses who buy into this crap it seems to be working. Absolutely right, N2sooners. The previous comments display the idiotic disillusionment of the Left. Bush is actually standing up for the poor with this veto. He wants a bill that focuses on the needs of those children living in poverty, not a bill that is a shell-game where the Democrats are attempting to use the poor as pawns to advance their irresponsible and wasteful agenda of offering a program to those that do not need government assistance. The truth is, for the far Left, those in poverty are just political assets for them to advance their agenda. If they really care about the poor, then pass a bill for the poor. Sadly, it is not in the Left's interest to help the poor out of po... says willhelm: Bush is actually standing up for the poor with this veto. He wants a bill that focuses on the needs of those children living in poverty not a bill ... offering a program to those that do not need government assistance. If they really care about the poor, then pass a bill for the poor. Couldn't have said it better myself. Making sure these poor children don't get government assistance is standing up for them? Let me guess: Compassionate conservatism, right? And giving huge tax breaks to the wealthy, who didn't need them, is...let me guess: Compassionate conservatism, right? If within your character the wealthy deserve help while the needy do not, then money is the measure of your morality. (May you test its value on your judgment day.) I am pretty certain I will be tested on the merits of my own selflessness rather than the "merits" of having money taken from me by force. See my clips on the profile of those that give to charity and those that do not, for example - Materialists like YOU. I am pretty certain I will be tested on the merits of my own selflessnessPerhaps you'll be judged on the character of your heart. "...rather than the "merits" of having money taken from me by force."Non sequitur. Bush is standing up for the the poor, yeah right! I thought Bush just said it wasn't goverment's business to pay people's health insurances. I think I read that from CNN, am I right? I know USA is facing elections soon and this is political act too but it was Bush himself who decided for or against, not democrats. I just don't get what it is always if someone even mentions social security or helping those who are left behind it's always almost like communism to some people. Another thing is I think one person shouldn't have that much power in his hands. What if the president turns out to be totally insane...Oh, but he is right now! You guys should get more political parties than just those... It's always between turd sandwich and giant douche, right?Yeah... So? Didn't you ever see Team America: World Police ? Seriously, I'd suggest you get it. Because until then, you won't. In case you haven't figured it out...it's completely "tongue in cheek". Oh, it is? |
