Unbelievable Mohir. It si not only the space dimensions it covers, but also the time dimension as well. The light from the galaxy and the light in the cave belong to different scales of time as well as space. Thanks.

Although it's said to be a single exposure, I don't believe it. It has all the classic signs of an HDR photo which is many photos, exposed at different times, matched into a single photo for detail throughout.

I am no expert, but looking on the photo it does not look to me as an HDR, there are a lot of dark areas within the cave, they explain that there was a flesh in cave within the long exposure, that can explain it.

Well, I still don't buy it. Detail in the far distant areas seem to be filled in "with flash" as in the close areas. Flash cannot reach those distant areas though and also the shadows are in the wrong direction.

(I've made my living as a professional photographer for over thirty years.)

A good photographer who really knows how to use a camera could do this. It is beautiful!

The point is NOT that a "good photographer" couldn't do this photograph. The point IS that he didn't do it the way he said he did.

(Also, thanks for the snide reference that my thirty years as a professional photographer does not make me a "good photographer." Very insulting!)

Aren't "nasa.gov " usually pretty reliable? I dunno...If it is a fake, maybe they should be told.

It's still quite a breathtaking picture though, especially since I don't even know what HDR is.

I don't even know what HDR is.
high dynamic range imaging (HDRI) is a set of techniques that allows a greater dynamic range of exposures (the range of values between light and dark areas) than normal digital imaging techniques. The intention of HDRI is to accurately represent the wide range of intensity levels found in real scenes ranging from direct sunlight to shadows.
