This whole idea of tinkering with plant genetics is incredibly scary. I also found this quote in the article: "researchers are concerned that insect pests are becoming resistant to Bt." So, nature is already beginning to compensate for the effects of genetically engineered organisms. Does this remind anyone of the antibiotic-resistant staph infection, MRSA? There's no way to predict the possible consequences of this.

How can Monsanto assure us that the RNA interference will only affect insects? Virtually all processed food is not made from genetically modified crops, either soy or corn.

When will we learn the value of whole foods and not Monsatan's corporate greed products?

What about Bees?
Exactly. Monsanto (the creators of the weed killer Round-Up) have had a trail of horrible ideas in the past 20 or so years and they are not getting any better. The 'Terminator' seeds and now this. No wonder that 'Doomsday world seed bank' was just built up there in Norway.

I think anything that has an attachment to Monsanto is bad news.
