Apparently the Junta wants all the credit for any help given their own people. Nice Generals, those. Funny how easy it had been to ignore the oppression in Burma where thousands have suffered, yet the situation is suddenly in our faces now we have satellite pictures. So now it has become real? It is the same junta that has been there all along oppressing the same people with the same agenda. It will become clear that while the junta operated under the pretense of absolute power, they are in reality powerless, when faced with the responsibility of leadership, and the ability to operate an administration, or a country. Will the concern for the people of Burma last into June? Or will the concern be eclipsed by a tragedy somewhere else in the world that has become 'Now' leaving Burma as yesterday's news.,. |
