Me! I'm with you on that one BNM...BBW is a real sweety No Fear Pop for the bigbadwolf I had no idea that the screennames were case sensitive Pop for the BigBadWolf Nevermind (reaches for more coffee) Naughty wolf. In the end it was little red riding hood who order the killing Anthropomorphising the wolf as an evil or bad being just perpetuates the myth that the wolf should be killed. Human hubris. Altho i loved Hermann Hesse and his work, it's unfortunate that he chose the wolf to show the dark side of the human psyche. This Native American fable might be a little more balanced: Two Wolves An elder Cherokee Native American was teaching his grandchildren about life . He said to them, "A fight is going on inside me...It is a terrible fight, and it is between two wolves. One wolf represents fear, anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, pride and superiority. The other wolf stands for joy, peace, love, hope, ... I'm a bit slow on the draw. I thought we were talking about a four-legged big bad wolf, not a two-legged BBW. That makes all the difference. I concur with Deepti, BBW is a sweetie. @Papan - profound. Tks. @Papa- I'm putting your story up in my cube at work. It was moving. (Your story. Not my cube.) Hey what about us swampfoxz? Are swampfoxes dangerous creatures? Are they like the mutant squirrel escapees from Berlin that terrorize and haunt Abailart's dreams? Must we be afraid - very, very afraid? Or are they sweet, lovable and cuddly little beasts? |
