Now I could ask how many of you haven't thought privately that if you could end America's embarrassment? Well if you could get away with it, how many? Or if someone else did it? Would you convict the killer? So might you not expect the same courtesy from your jurors?

Maybe you think it's unfair for me in the safety of Europe to pose these awful questions. And I'm for peace. But I'm not a saint. All the dead American soldiers + the dead Iraqi civilians + all the rest as against Bush. Solomon couldn't answer that never mind an ordinary Irishman. So will I pose those questions again? It's not fair really. This life! All fot bent chads and a few judges in the back pocket.

Not that I feel all ...

US prisons hit new high: 1 in 100 adults jailed

More than one in a hundred adult Americans are in prison, a higher rate of incarceration than at any time in US history that is pushing the budgets of several states to breaking point, a report warns.

The Pew Centre on the States, a Washington-based research body, reveals that in 2007 the inexorable rise in the prison population saw the US cross what it calls a "sobering threshold". The number of prisoners in federal and local jails grew to 2.3 million, out of the country's adult population of 229.8 million, which gives a ratio of one in 99[b]...

No. Most definitely not. I'm against the death penalty too. No, I'd like to see him locked up and put on truth serum, so we maybe finally can find out what the heck has been going on for the last eight years and why?

What did he know about 9/11?
What are the real reasons for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan?
Why his obsession with surveillance and the War on Terror?
Why does he really want to attack Iran?

Stuff like that. I'd like answers. He perhaps has information we could use to get ourselves out of the mess he got us all in!

Where they would put them? In prison camps:

If the Truth Police came for me, I think suicide would be my first choice. I don't think we can count on getting a lawyer OR a trial. Then there'd be torture too probably.

In 99.9999% cases I'm against the death penalty too but Bush has stretch my reason beyond breaking. When faced with REAL EVIL like a persistent serial child killer or Bush then I'd somehow find the strength to execute myself.

Coincidently on RTE radio today, an American expert on 'clean torture' stated that there is no real truth serum! Yes, drugs that induced verbal spillage but not much better than alcohol

He was an expert on tracing back in time where cert...

I think it safe to say that if anybody here did harbor the impulse to kill the man, and expressed it, there would be an alarm going off somewhere in the bowels of the CIA.

I am all for a really open inquisition into ALL the questions so many have about ALL the BushCo. deception, lying, and fakery. After that... let the REAL legal process have it's way, not the fake one Bush oversees.

Yes, the final solution at this point would be similar to putting a dying animal out of its misery. Let him live in fear for the remainder of his days. I'd nearly guarantee no further foreign trips.

As for American justice sorting out the problem? It won't happen and for many reason. Worse is that precedents have been set now, that will compel him/her to continue with the imperial style no matter who it is. The model needs changing. The US got rid of a king to have achieved rule by an emperor.

Never thought about murder. I doubt I could kill anyone, even to save my own life (but one never really knows until they are in that position).
I think that Bush and all those who approved his "torture" laws should be incarcerated in the same "camps" where Bush says no one is tortured. And the prisoners should become their guards.
If truth serum does not work, maybe water boarding would, after all according to Bushie, it's not torture.

I love your cruel, sophisticated and humorous solution. Beautiful. Too good. Keep telling him it's not real, that it's all in his head. LOL. You've spent time thinking about this. Punishment fit the crime. Even he'd appreciate the justice.

There's a lot of people who probably won't remember this, but back in
December of '73, when the Watergate affair was coming to a head, The National Lampoon Radio Hour ran a special called The Missing White House Tapes.
One of the segments was a 'call-in', in which the 'listeners' who
called were asked, "What should we do to Richard Nixon?" One part
of it went like this:

Host: Hello, what should we do to Richard Nixon?

Caller: Berl 'im in earl!

Host: Oh, calling from Brooklyn, I see! Next caller, hello, what should...

but you'll need to translate "Berl 'im in earl!" for me.

@righthand, that's Brooklyn dialect for "Boil him in oil". (For comparison, Bugs Bunny's voice was, as described by Mel Blanc, a cross between Brooklyn and Bronx.)

I was listening to the show with some friends, and we came up with ideas of our own. Mine was to handcuff him, give him some bloody scratches and throw him in a piranha tank. Somebody said that was too quick; my reply was, "Not if you only use one piranha".
