as much as I am sure everyone would just LOVE to believe this...lets try and use some common sense on this. To think this is the whole story is pretty naive, and I'd love to find out what really happened, because there is about 0% chance this is the whole story or it would be on every tv station to blast Cheney again.

The crime of assault does not require physical contact, you merely have to have a reasonable fear of a harmful touching, most confuse battery with assault.

Always thought assault was bare handed (whether you swing and miss or swing and connect being irrelevant), battery was with a weapon of any kind...
