I made it 56 hours once when I was in my 20's. It was sheer hell.

During uni, I learnt to get by on 4 hours a day and I still do pretty much. If I've been partying or am really, really tired then 6 hours is waaay sleeping in for me. I don't even own an alarm clock. I am up waaay before the chickens anyway.

Just image how much more product we could be if we didn't have to sleep. I fight to get 7-8 hours each night. Most often it is 6.

Just image how much more product (productive) we could be
is a wonderful malaprop. My opinion is that if we could survive with less sleep we would be pushed by a productivity obsessed society into becoming more of a product at the beck and call of our employers in the fanatical pursuit of possession or survival, rather than using that extra time for the equally desirable leisure it would afford. I, for one, am not addicted to productivity. There is something to be said about slowly whiling a day like a lizard on a log in the sun, rather than being caught up in the race to produce more stuff....

Oh, I am SO with you on that!. In my next life, I want to come back as a cat and just lounge around in the sun ALL day. Just imagine it. Food served, cuddles én mass and never a bad hair day again. Procrastination definitely has it's perks.
