egoldstein says: I'm not exactly sure why, but this really bothers me. I am definitely considering voting for Obama, but when it comes to running for president, i honestly think you need someone who isn't going to be told by their spouse whether they can run or not. You need someone so determined to get the job done...and a spouse who encourages them do do so. I don't hold this against them at all personally, but i don't know that he should be president of the United States if his wife has this kind of pull. Perhaps, just perhaps she is the sane one in the family I highly doubt he will win so it's kind of a moot point. She can always tell him what career to practice next. lol I believe the point that Michelle Obama makes speaks worlds about how wise the Obama's are. She believes that in eight years Barack and herself will have lost the perspective of the common individual. At this point and time they are still paying off college loans and shopping at Target. Reminds me of the recessions in the 80's when reporters asked Bush the elder how much a gallon of milk cost and he had no clue. Looks more like a political gimmick and nothing more to me. It seems as if the Obamas are interested in mobilizing all of their supporters to the Iowa Caucuses using scare tactics like these. Like Obama himself said, the winner will likely emerge with a bare difference of 3000-5000 votes. |
