Skwirl, if you will, please tell me, in very simple language, what a vector is? Can't find anything on the site that explains it and I'm sure it's something I ought to know about. Don't want to miss out on a single good thing! Thanks

Vector graphics (also called geometric modeling or object-oriented graphics) is the use of geometrical primitives such as points, lines, curves, and polygons, which are all based upon mathematical equations to represent images in computer graphics. It is used in contrast to the term raster graphics, which is the representation of images as a collection of pixels.

When you work with art created on a computer, you have a choice. You can work with the art as:

1. pixels (also called raster) On the web, the pictures and photos; art for web sites-this is your standard .jpg file or photo you look at online; it looks fine for web display but designers of printed projects don't like to use this type unless you give them a very high resolution image. When you enlarge a photo, at some point it starts to look blurry, it loses clarity.
