'Sour Puss' is going to lose her headship of Australia. No more all expenses paid trips to down under. She'll have to make do with a cheap trip to dear old Ireland this year. She'll be more than welcome. She'll probably prefer that there will be no bowing and scraping that she has been used to. Change. All is change. A terrible beauty ...

Up the Republic! Down with empire.

When I read the title of this clip, a most ridiculous image popped into my head; I am still laughing.
I pictured "sour puss" screaming and running as she was chased by the Red Queen yelling "off with her head"
Great clip.

Sour puss or not, she is a woman who has served her country and its people with courage and fortitude.

As an interested observer in this election year in the USA as I've been all my life I am, frankly, glad we have a monarch and not a president. She doesn't have to prove herself to anyone; no one can accuse her of not doing her duty through difficult times with grace and intelligence.

RH - you appear to be a bit behind the times. We have moved on since then.

Only if you are from the ancient order of class ridden ROYALIST. For all democrats this should read "she is a woman whose country has served her" bowing and scraping. Who has screwed who here? For doing what? Who is the richest female in the UK?

Isn't it opportune what's happening in Nepal at this moment. Even it is dumping its outdated monarchy. So ..

doesn't quite get it right, don't you think on reflection.

But it suits us and that's what matters. Our choice.

and the Aussies and Granadains? Do they get a choice about democracy?

In defence of the broken US democtratic system, they at least get to pick their emperor and determine when his reign ends. Slightly different than an accident of birth that relys on on the sanity of a minor German 'noble' family with a liking for Hitler!
Our choice
Some choice! I question ...
