hws a stupid type of thinking u have//// He's living with innocent smile. Clinton at least choked tears back. I find it hard to believe that Bush was elected to power twice and after all the stupid and criminal things he has done and said and still continues doing You the American people are willing to let him stay in power until after the election which doesn't seem to be coming soon enough. I nearly puked when I saw His speech at the Tomb of the Unknowns, when he was crying his crocodile tears. "I feel the soldiers' pain", my ass. I don't even know why i watch him any more. I must be a masochist. I may be out of touch but I have no idea what "hws" means. And who's "stupid way of thinking" is kumargks referring to? The writer or the poster. I'm always amazed at some of the ignorance that is displayed behind the safety of not having to face the person being targeted by that ignorance. Thanks! I would never have imagined. I'm all for keeping hedgehogs safe! I just finished a book called "A Tragic Legacy: How a Good vs Evil Mentality Destroyed the Bush Presidency" by Glenn Greenwald. He describes Bush as a dyed in the wool Manichean, incapable of showing any empathy whatsoever. I, for one, have always felt the idea that someone who has died is "in a better place" to be the most callous of sentiments, specially if suffering was a part of that death. Well, seeing as how a majority of Americans believe in that Creator I'm not sure how this particular comment is supposed to be so bad. 23 Pops? Wow, it looks like Clipmarks is filling up with extremists from the left. That's too bad. You've got Patriot Act already. What next? Witch hunt? The statement means that it doesn't matter that they died as long as they went to Heaven. That seems a bit callous to me. Travis my boy, go fuck yourself. Um, doesn't he have people that write those speeches for him, in the interest of security or some silly shit like that? To assume that any president's speech comes from the president is ludicris. What is wrong with people. Are we all that shallow and ignorant that we can't recognise propoganda in a speech? Indeed, propaganda is the name of the game, and Memorial Day is the annual best shot picnic for people like Bush, who cynically manipulate Americans into dying for causeless glory. I doubt that it says as much about his faith as it does about his no-holds-barred-and-nothing-is-sacred manipulation. Ahhhh......, wouldn't anyone in their right mind bother to READ and put some thought into what someone else has written for you to tell the whole friggin' world???? I don't buy into "he didn't mean it that way" or it was "taken out of context" crap when it comes down to our leadership demeaning the sacrifices our military men and women perform daily. Giving your life entails more than dying for whatever cause, just or not. And the "Onward Christian Soldiers" bit is just a bit worn out. I don't think Jesus really approves of killing in his name or dying in a war for that matter either. And don't you think being HOME with your family has a better ring to it than to be in some "better place" th... Giving your life entails more than dying for whatever cause, just or not. And the "Onward Christian Soldiers" bit is just a bit worn out. I don't think Jesus really approves of killing in his name or dying in a war for that matter either. And don't you think being HOME with your family has a better ring to it than to be in some "better place" that none of us is really, truly don't know much about except what a preacher, and now politicians, say it is?And if the rest of the world thought this way there wouldn't be a war on terror, Holy wars, suicide bombers and gaza strip. wouldn't anyone in their right mind bother to READ and put some thought into what someone else ... We should rename the War on Terror to The War on Religion Thats what this is about. WE have become the terrorists Don't count me as "one of the terrorists." And statements like that are just why there is a problem in the first place. Individuals make individual choices...., unless they are not willing to go so far as to take responsibility for what they say or how they act. And I do believe this war on terror is not a war on religion or a religious war. It's a war for dominance and control, waged by the simple few who are now in power and will stay in power as long as there are people who continue to play God. And the losers are the followers, in more ways than one. Got a soul to sell? Need more "stuff?" ETC. If we've lost anything to this war it's not just bodies..., it's our essence. Our reasoning. At all costs. Agreed, We have lost so much. Disagree on the religion wars The middle east turmoil has been religion driven for a very long time. Its ALL about religion. Now that we have gotten ourselves all mixed up in it. It is now our religion wars too. Yes we came in about the oil but the hostilities against us is religion driven. Fanatical Suicide Bombers are not willing to die for oil. They die in the glory of martyrdom. It is a religious choice that drives them. Because we involved ourselves and tried to force our beliefs onto their religion we are now in a religion war. To go to another country 1/2 way around the world and impose our beliefs on other societies make us terrorists. It doesn't matt... I'm not gonna argue with your belief. It does, on the surface, look like it has turned into a religious conflict but that is the propaganda the powers that be want the American people to react to. The big diversion. Fact is that it has to do with robbing the Middle East for the last 100 years or so. The terrorists are a very small faction that knows how to strike the worst fear into it's victims. Tell me, what's the difference between our dead soldiers going to "a better place" than the "martyrs" going to what they believe is their "better place?" The clip is about Bush's statement, and his ignorance and disregard for the families and friends that have to bear their losses for the rest of th... |
