AcesLucky says: Didn't god make these animals too? So much for the "abomination" theory. But then, which is true, real life facts, or a bible written by 1st century goat herders? Hmmm...interesting article. But the Bible also claims God made everything perfect but the world is now fallen after Adam and Eve sinned in the garden. So this really doesn't prove anything. The questions is also not about animals, but about humans. Animals kill all the time, but they don't set up a court system to punish those who do. Why do we have a sense of justice? Why do we have a conscience? Why do we care about right and wrong? I was born with a tendency to lie, steal, look with lust, dishonor my parents, be selfish, etc...does that mean it's OK simply because I was born that way? All good questions that Christianity answers. www.needgod.com Animals are now gay because Adam and Eve sinned? That's the bible explanation for gay animals? You lost me. Besides, if god made everything perfect, then the serpent was too, and so was A&E's decision to have knowledge. And about your questions "that Christianity answers"? God-did-it is no more an answer than the space alien Rectar-did-it. We have evidence of neither. We DO have evidence of societal development (social evolution) becoming less dependent on fear and superstition as the basis for decision making. And our standards today, via that development, is far superior to any first century god. Wouldn't you agree? No. Good post MRMASON. Science: Answers that must always be questioned. Philosophy: Questions that may never be answered. Religion: Answers that must never be questioned. I gave up Christianity for Lent because of comments like mrmason. In Christianity and most of the other associated religions the patriarchal god sends those that are not sycophantic worshipers to a place very similar to the ovens Hitler used to try to wipe out the Jewish people. Hmmm I think that brings that god's morals into question. In fact He becomes a symbol of hate and evil. |
