Steve McCurry, a photographer who truly knows how to capture a subject

Did anyone see the special (don't remember where or when) about the search for this woman? It took them quite a long while and it was an interesting documentary. There were many attempts made to offer wives and daughters as this young girl. They ultimately identified her through some kind of scientific test with her eyes. The end of the search was a little anti-climatic. I believe her husband was reluctant (as she was also since she was Muslim) to have her talk with the crew. She had aged a lot (you can imagine!) but the search itself was very interesting since this lovely woman's face has become so well-known.

I've never seen it Jatfa, but it sounds really interesting.

This girl was an afghan refugee, the picture taken appeared on the front page on the national geographic in 1984, there is probably the article in the National geographic archives, Steve McCurry photographed alot for the National Geographic, actually this should have been a clip of his work. will see what went wrong on clip it again.
