boniface, your title suggests you are in the dark. I'm probably the last person you would ever suspect to support this bailout, but it HAS to go through, and it will. Also, progressive and progressivism brought us here. We need to have trials for these criminals. It is funny that you don't hear the Left calling for hearings. What's up with that? Something has to go through, but Will, have you read the language of this thing? This isn't right, as is. This gives him, and the next Treasurer, 100%, all-out control of ALL of that MONEY! Don't watch, look, or ask a question. Not to mention exemption from legal consequences for whatever behavior. NO. This is not good! Here's the thing as I see it. The Fed is a nasty unconstitutional, unchecked, unbalanced, extra-governmental entity. The Fed answers to no one, so the concerns about lack of over-sight really do not sway me much at this point. The issue is preventing us from entering economic meltdown if we are not there already. I think many in our comfortable world might not realize the implications of what this potentially means. In the 1930 depression people and communities were fairly self-reliant. This is not the case today. What happens if things stop? What happens if trucks stand still for just 1 day? Can you imagine? I've been somewhat alarmist on the economy for some time. I think we are facing di... ...but this IS an emergency. Most just don't know it yet. davboz, I think I hit my head on something yesterday. I'm still thinking this one through. |
