It's The Stupid, Stupid--The Media gets a FAIL

Nevertheless, we get nonstop coverage of this man for two solid weeks from major television, radio, and newspapers. And yet the worst of the lot, television, when confronted with the fact that they were complicit in disseminating Pentagon propaganda by using retired generals as paid shills for the Iraq war effort, has less to say about it than Bill O'Reilly on the difference between a loofah and a falafel.

Part of the problem is that modern news editors hate "policy," because "policy isn't news." But in times like these, it isn't hard to make a case that, yes, policy is news--but today's media is too vapid and too hard up for rapidly vanishing eyeballs to care. WTF are you talking about, Kat? His attitude is that the editors in the corporate MSM are not giving us the truth. You still got a hair about Rev. Wright? That was a good example...Why so much coverage of Obama's religious supporters and McCain gets a free pass for guys like Falwell and that nutjob Hagee who said Katrina was punishing the Gays' sins in New Orleans. Not a peep in the MSM. Just Olberman.

well, after watching rev wright for a couple of months, i am so much better informed regarding the three candidates positions vis a vis global warming, free trade, economic stimulus, the war, etc. before that i had to base my vote on their bowling scores and who wore the flag pin the most.

Ain't it grand how the MSM thinks we're idiots...and in some cases it's true. I won't tell who here but we know hmmmm? But I do wear a Nixon pin on my Impeach Cheney cap! Can't find a flag pin, nor would I wear one until the war is over.

The screwed up media is old news but I guess we all need to be reminded of the fact. The author is one of those who bitches professionally and couldn't think of a good idea to save his life that would change the system for the better .
