I'm sure one of the obstacles to developing telepathy, is the amount of 'White Noise' in our heads. I think there is the allusion that any kind of telepathy would involve an auditory aspect, but the trick could be distinguishing between our own thoughts and the thoughts that are of others.

I wonder if like with radio a transmitter it can also act as a receiver. All you have to do is reverse the polarity.
